They also have distinctive features and offerings such as bountiful gardens, striking architecture, museum-quality art exhibitions, 100-year-old wine caves, bocce ball courts, picnic areas, blending seminars, and wine-and-food pairings. Deciding which of California’s many wineries to visit can be daunting. For each new edition of The California Directory of Fine Wineries, I travel the state to select exceptional boutique tasting rooms and renowned must-see cellar landmarks. These are my current picks.
